The Bream Head - Te Whara Scenic Reserve is an 800 ha coastal headland 45 km south east of Whangarei. An iconic Reserve with a rugged shoreline backed by steep forest-clad slopes and rocky outcrops and peaks, Bream Head -Te Whara dominates the landscape. Its imposing form is a natural gateway to the Whangarei Harbour.
